Engagements scale from a single instrument to a purpose-built observatory. Multi-instrument programmes — including space domain awareness and survey work — typically use a dedicated pier bank or private dome. All are quoted per requirement.

What Sits Behind Your Instrument

Dark-sky site in Victoria, Australia, giving access to southern targets unavailable from northern latitudes.
Southern coverage
A southern-hemisphere longitude in a region under-served by tracking and observing infrastructure, most of which sits in the northern hemisphere — relevant to survey programmes and space domain awareness as well as deep-sky research.
Piers
Engineered piers isolated from building structure, machined in-house to suit your mount.
Power
Grid connection supported by on-site solar generation to reduce running costs. Battery backup provides controlled shutdown and safe roof closure on power loss, protecting your instrument.
Connectivity
Site internet provided. Institutions may install a dedicated Starlink antenna for independent bandwidth entirely under their own control — useful where low-latency control or sustained high-volume data egress matters.
Security
Gated site with surveillance and continuous monitoring of power, connectivity and operational status.
Monitoring & response
Systems are monitored 24/7 with a defined response intent. Offered as a service commitment rather than a contractual service level agreement.
Maintenance
Scope and inclusions agreed per engagement, appropriate to the instrument and programme.

Our site is held on a ten-year lease renewable twice — up to thirty years of tenure — and phase one is engineered for 500 instruments. When an institutional agreement runs to 2030 and beyond, the facility will still be operating.

Public liability
Public and products liability cover of $5,000,000. Certificate of currency available on request.
Equipment insurance
Institutions ordinarily insure their own instruments for the period they are on site. Alternative arrangements are negotiable.
Agreement terms
Multi-year agreements available, aligned to grant and budget cycles.
Invoicing
Invoiced against purchase order, on terms agreed at contract.
Pricing
Quoted per engagement. Requirements vary too widely for a standard rate card.
